The part voted on: ‘Regrets that, despite Russia’s ongoing war of aggression against Ukraine and its sustained hybrid attacks against the EU, seven EU Member States increased their imports of Russian energy in 2025 compared with the previous year; recalls that such continued dependence has been enabled by long-standing Kremlin-driven energy leverage, including the Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines, which from their outset constituted geopolitical projects aimed at increasing Europe’s reliance on Russian gas, undermining the Union’s energy security and solidarity, and fuelling Russia’s capacity to wage war;’ without the words ‘which from their outset constituted geopolitical projects’
