European Parliament legislative resolution of 18 June 2025 on the proposal for a Council decision on the adoption by the European Atomic Energy Community of the Agreement on the interpretation and application of the Energy Charter Treaty between the European Union, the European Atomic Energy Community and their Member States (COM(2024)0256 – C10-0092/2024 – 2024/0146(NLE))

The European Parliament,

–having regard to the Commission proposal to the Council (COM(2024)0256),

–having regard to Article 203 of the Treaty establishing the European Atomic Energy Community, pursuant to which the Council consulted Parliament (C100092/2024),

–having regard to Rule 84 of its Rules of Procedure,

–having regard to the opinion of the Committee on International Trade,

–having regard to the report of the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy (A10-0008/2025),

1.Approves the Commission proposal;

2.Calls on the Council to notify Parliament if it intends to depart from the text approved by Parliament;

3.Asks the Council to consult Parliament again if it intends to substantially amend the text approved by Parliament;

4.Instructs its President to forward its position to the Council and the Commission.
