Justification
Union law provides for comprehensive set of rules for control and enforcement under Regulation (EC) No 1224/20093 and Regulation (EC) No 1005/2008 in case of serious infringements, including those that cause damage to the marine environment. For other types of criminal penalties related to environment, MS needs to provide statistics in accordance with the Environmental Crimes Directive. The same provisions should be applied in case of serious infringements of damage to marine environment related to fisheries policy. On recreational fisheries, the split allows for better assessment of envi impact of recreational fisheries, and such split is offered also on the RecFishing app implementing Art 55 of CFP..

Justification:
the fisheries and aquaculture statistics is presented as providing for variables relevant also for environmental legislation. The additions, if accepted, could be seen as providing added value from this perspective. Registered facilities breeding CITES species could give us more information at EU level about flows in these species. More data separately on non-fed production systems can track development of important and low-impact aquaculture segments, important also from bioeconomy perspective, and regionally putting less pressure on ecosystems in terms of pollution.
