On the proposal for a Council decision on the conclusion of a broad package of agreements to consolidate, deepen and expand the bilateral relations with the Swiss Confederation

–having regard to the draft Amending Protocol to the Agreement between the European Community and the Swiss Confederation on mutual recognition in relation to conformity assessment,

–having regard to the draft Institutional protocol to the Agreement between the European Community and the Swiss Confederation on mutual recognition in relation to conformity assessment,

–having regard to the draft Amending Protocol to the Agreement between the European Community and the Swiss Confederation on trade in agricultural products,

–having regard to the draft Protocol to the Agreement between the European Community and the Swiss Confederation on trade in agricultural products establishing a Common Food Safety Area,

–having regard to the draft Agreement between the European Union and the Swiss Confederation on electricity,

–having regard to the draft Agreement between the European Union and the Swiss Confederation on health,

–having regard to the draft Agreement between the European Union and the Swiss Confederation on Switzerland’s regular financial contribution towards reducing economic and social disparities in the European Union,

–having regard to the Agreement between the European Union and the European Atomic Energy Community, of the one part, and the Swiss Confederation, of the other part, on the participation of the Swiss Confederation in Union Programmes,

–having regard to the Agreement between the European Union and the Swiss Confederation on the terms and conditions for the participation of the Swiss Confederation in the European Union Agency for the Space Programme,

–having regard to the draft Protocol between the European Union and the Swiss Confederation on parliamentary cooperation,

–having regard to the draft Joint Declaration by the European Union and the Swiss Confederation on the establishment of a high-level dialogue on the broad bilateral package and the possible further development of the bilateral relations between the European Union and Switzerland,

–having regard to the draft joint declarations accompanying agreements and protocols,

–having regard to the request for consent submitted by the Council in accordance with Article 217, in conjunction with Article 218(6), second subparagraph, point (a)(i), Article 218(7), and the second subparagraph of Article 218(8) thereof of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (C100000/2025),

–having regard to its non-legislative resolution entitled Interim report on the proposal for a Council decision on the conclusion of a broad package of agreements to consolidate, deepen and expand the bilateral relations with the Swiss Confederation (2025/0162R(NLE)),

–having regard to Rule 107(1) and (4), and Rule 117(7) of its Rules of Procedure,

–having regard to the opinions of the Committee on International Trade, the Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection, and the Committee on Public Health,

–having regard to the recommendation of the Committee on Foreign Affairs (A100000/2026),

1.Gives its consent to the conclusion of the broad package of agreements;

2.Instructs its President to forward its position to the Council, the Commission and the governments and parliaments of the Member States and of the Swiss Confederation.
