European Parliament legislative resolution of 20 May 2026 on the draft Council decision on the approval, on behalf of the Union, of the amendment of Article 36 of the International Agreement on Olive Oil and Table Olives, 2015 (15592/2025 – C10-0001/2026 – 2025/0193(NLE))

The European Parliament,

–having regard to the draft Council decision (15592/2025),

–having regard to the draft amendment of article 36 of the International Agreement on Olive Oil and Table Olives (15592/2025),

–having regard to the request for consent submitted by the Council in accordance with Article 207(4), first subparagraph, and Article 218(6), second subparagraph, point (a)(v), of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (C100001/2026),

–having regard to Rule 107(1) and (4), and Rule 117(7) of its Rules of Procedure,

–having regard to the opinion in the form of a letter from the Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development,

–having regard to the recommendation of the Committee on International Trade (A10-0101/2026),

1.Gives its consent to the approval of the amendment of the agreement;

2.Instructs its President to forward its position to the Council, the Commission and the governments and parliaments of the Member States.
