Objection to a delegated act: amending Delegated Regulation (EU) 2023/2429 as regards origin labelling for fruit and vegetables originating in the non-self-governing territory of Western Sahara

Motion for a resolution	AmendmentBa. whereas the proposed delegated act would prevent EU companies who are placing on the EU market fruits and vegetables originating in Western Sahara from using the term ‘Western Sahara’ in the certificate of origin and labelling of products; whereas the delegated act does not include in its scope the import of products other than fruits and vegetables, thereby creating legal uncertainty for EU companies who are placing other products on the EU market as to what is the applicable origin for the purpose of the certificate of origin and on product labels, where such indication of origin may be required by law or on a voluntary basis;
