Motion for a resolution20. Reiterates its concern regarding the appeasing approach of the Commission towards Serbia against the backdrop of the country’s years-long rollback of the rule of law, democracy and fundamental rights, as well as its destabilising influence on the whole region; urges the Commission to uphold the EU’s fundamental values by using clearer language towards Serbia and consistently addressing its significant shortcomings, lack of progress and even backsliding; welcomes the initial improvement made in addressing Serbia’s shortcomings by the Commissioner for Enlargement and the announced suspension of funds earmarked for Serbia over legislative reforms; warns against any potential systematic attempts by Serbia to impede the accelerated progress of neighbouring countries towards EU membership, particularly in the context of its own stagnation on the accession path; calls on Serbia to more closely align its visa policy with the EU list of third countries whose nationals require visas;	Amendment20.
