[one year after the entry into force of this Regulation], the Member States shall designate a national SUMP contact point and shall establish a national SUMP programme with the aim of supporting the urban nodes to adopt and implement the SUMP’s which are referred to in point (b), sub-point (i). The national SUMP contact point and the national SUMP programme shall in particular provide technical assistance and expert support for the preparation and implementation of SUMPs. It shall, in collaboration with the Commission, regularly monitor the proper implementation of SUMPs, progress towards sectoral policy objectives, including decarbonisation, road safety, coherences with Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plans, Sustainable Urban Logistics Plans, and other relevant plans.
