Removed:With less than four years remaining until the 2030 deadline, the 2026 High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) on “Transformative, equitable, innovative and coordinated actions for the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its Sustainable Development Goals for a sustainable future for all” arrives at a definitive crossroads for the 2030 Agenda.
Removed:Over the past decade, important progress has been achieved towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. Since 2015, over 100 million children and youth have gained access to education, and millions of people have gained access to safe drinking water, sanitation, and electricity, with electricity access reaching 92% of the global population. However, the current geopolitical and security environment creates additional challenges towards progress on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and their implementation.
Removed:The 2026 HLPF will conduct in-depth reviews of SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
